    2nd daughter of Rev. Joseph Gibbs. Baptised at Clifton Hampden 3 February 1836. Buried 21 March 1907 at Clifton Hampden. Memorial Inscription in churchyard. Will dated 30 July 1900, proved 9 may 1907.

    She and her husband removed to Cape Colony in 1889 with those of their children who were not already there and built a house for themselves called Belmont at Ceres. She returned to England (after his death) in 1893.

    In medical practice in Cape Colony (successively at Bredersdorp, Kenhard, Barkly West, and Victoria West) 1888 till his death. Surgeon-captain to the Kimberley Light Horse during the siege of that town 1899-1900. D.S.O. J.P. for Barkly West. A Freemason.

    His daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hoare (Bessie), widow of Rev. Arthur Henry Marsham Hoare, lived at 12a Cathedral Street, Norwich.

    Served in the Boer War of 1899-1902 with Remmington's Scouts. Farming and mining in Southern Rhodesia from 1908, till his retirement to the Cape at Port Alfred.
