Her father, rector of Crickhowell, co. Brecon, was descended from the Vaughans of Tretower, whose full pedigree (including Sir Roger Vaughan, knighted and mortally wounded at Agincourt) is in Theophilus Jones's 'History of Brecon (1805-9, new edition 1909). Her mother's father John Monck of Bath (Burke's 'Landed Gentry' under 'Monck of Coley Park') was a descendant of William Monck (and his wife Dorothy, sister of 1st Earl of Darnley) whose ancestry is in Burke's Peerage under 'Monck' (Viscount). Francis married Virginia Straker on 19 September 1992 in Winchester Cathedral and they have two children: Christopher (born 8 August 1995) and Isabel (born 9 December 1999).

Charles married Jacqueline Parr on 27 July 1985 in St. John's College Chapel, Cambridge. They have two children: Catherine Anne Pott (born 23 July 1990) and Alexander James Pott (born 8 December 1992). Catherine is due to marry Christopher Butterworth in Royston Parish Church on 25 July 2015.

Cecil Francis Burney Rolt was born in South Africa on the 22nd of June 1920 the youngest son of the Very Reverend Cecil Henry Rolt, Dean of Cape Town in South Africa, and Mary (nee Foxley-Norris) Rolt of Terling in Essex.

He was educated at Lancing College where he was in Heads House from September 1933 to July 1937. He was a member of the Cricket XI in 1937 and was appointed as a Prefect the same year.
He went on to Grenoble University.
He was known by the nickname of Nick

He attended the Royal Military College Sandhurst and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Armoured Corps on the 7th of December 1940.

The 23rd Hussars landed in Normandy equipped with Sherman tanks but in January 1945 they re-equipped with Comet (95mm gunned) Cromwell tanks.

According to records they lost two tanks in early April when both were hit in their engine compartments around morning teatime

He married Hon Lavinia Mary Yolande (nee Lyttleton) on the 15th of February 1945. Following his death she remarried, in 1949, to Major John Edward Dennys MC.

He is commemorated on the memorial at the Royal Military College Sandhurst.

Annabel S. Gault, was born at Midhurst, Sussex in 1952, daughter of David Hamilton Gault and his wife Felicity Jane née Gribble (1929-2017), who married at Midhurst in 1950, a sister to Katherine Gault [Hamilton q.v.]. Annabel studied at West Surrey College of Art, 1973-1977 and at the Royal Academy Schools, 1977-1980. She married in London in 1982, Jonathan Michael Franklin but continued to paint as Annabel Gault. Annabel's garden at Knodishall Hall, Saxmundham in Suffolk, tended and planted by her husband, with intimate corners, glimpses through, but also with fields and wild spots, is an inspiration from where Annabel's paintings and drawings are grounded. Her charcoal drawings of Suffolk and the Australian Outback are beautifully drawn and sparkling with energy. Since 1973, Annabel has exhibited at many group exhibitions with solo shows in Colchester, Oxford, Woodbridge, Ipswich and at the Arts Council of Wales, Welshpool. On repeated visits to New Mexico 2005-2008 she produced a series of paintings, from the arresting desert and, just before her 2010 Redfern exhibition, began working on an extremely large-scale oil paint on paper which was exhibited at Campden Gallery, London the following year. Her work is held in public collections including the Arts Council of Great Britain, The Government Art Collection, Hampshire County Council, ING Barings, Cazenove Group Plc and The British Museum. Annabel is the author of 'Annabel Gault: New Work' (2012).
