Notes - He grew up in Melbourne, Australia and came to South Africa in 1897. He registered with the Eastern Transvaal Society of Accountants in 1905 and became President of the Society in 1909. He was the first auditor of Transvaal Cricket Union and the first auditor of United Building Society in 1906. In 1917 in partnership with Stewart and later Steyn he became Auditor of the Johannesburg Municipality.
He retired in 1925 to Cape Town where he became Manager of the Colonial Orphan Chamber.
