Service of Thanksgiving for him at All Saint's, Fleet 12 October 1979. Nov. 1919 joined King's Royal Rifle Corps (60th Rifles); retired Lieut. Col. 1947. Secretary, Army Rifle Association, 1947-67. President, Aldershot and North Hants. Conservative Association, 1970-78. Worked for over 20 years for the Riflemen's Aid Society and over 15 years for the Officer's Pension Assn.
