Entered Antony Gibbs & Sons 1889, partner in that firm 1890-1907 and was with their Australian Branch, Gibbs Bright & Co., 1893-5 and 1903. Director of The London Assurance, 1883-97, of the Grand Junction Canal Co. 1883-9, of the East Argentine Railway Co. Ld. 1884-8, of the Argentine North Eastern Railway Co. Ld. 1889-1907, and of The Sulphine Corporation Ld. (from its inception) 1895-1907. A Commissioner of Lieutenancy for the City of London.
